Kryptonite Found on Earth

Kryptonite, the only substance other than magic which can hurt Superman, has been located in a mine in Serbia. It contains the same chemicals as the formula used in Superman Returns: Sodium lithium born silicate hydroxide. However it's white and powdery, rather than green and glowing. And it isn't radioactive, at least, not so far as we of Earth can tell.
