The Head of the State (aka, The President)

"Holding enormous official powers, he schemed ceaselessly to expand them, because it was expected of him by those who had pushed him into office. He had the cunning of the unintelligent and the frantic energy of the lazy. The sole secret of his rise in life was the fact that he was a product of chance and knew it and aspired to nothing else."

E-Book Resources

For Christmas, I received a Kindle Fire. I'm quite enjoying it, as it's roughly the size of a paperback (which means easy transport) but can hold an innumerable supply of books (Between the cloud and it's storage capacity)

One of my friends on Facebook shared a resource with me which highlights some of the best deals on Kindle as well as Amazon Apps and books for the Nook. Some of which are free, others which are good deals.

The site is Pixel of Ink.

For those who have a Kindle Fire, you can find a great forum specifically for the Fire, from troubleshooting issues to apps and books. You'll find the link here.

Why I Don't Like Cats

I don't like cats. I get along with them just fine, but I don't like them. I find them to be useless creatures. A dog will help defend your home from intruders, if not by attacking them directly, then at least by barking and waking everyone up. Cats? Well, they'll hiss and runaway. From what I read in history, except for a brief stint being worshiped by the Egyptians or something, they were mostly used for rodent control, and they did a piss poor job of that when the black plague hit.

We don't need them for that as much any longer, except maybe on farms.

But other than that, they're useless animals who can easily be replaced by a mouse-trap and a plush-toy.

Sandwiches That Last Three Years

The Army has developed a new MRE.

I think the best part about it is that it was created by a woman.
