As a hobby, my brother takes full-length movies & edits them down to 30 minutes.
Coincidentally, he also took out the whole "immune to Jedi mind tricks" angle, eliminating the whole pod race, and almost the entire character of Annakin.
Also eliminated the space battle by having the Viceroy just ordering the droid army turned off after he surrenders at the palace.
